There are 5 Veteran Nursing homes in Mississippi. While there are a lot of challenges, one of the biggest is transportation. Getting veterans in wheelchairs back and forth to the hospital has been a ongoing struggle. The Friends of MS Veterans saw this need and are doing what good friends do, meeting the need.
Each year, they host a golf tournament and skeet shoot, and all of the proceeds go directly to purchasing vans for each of the 5 nursing homes.
